Event Details

International Women's Day (IWD) is a thriving global movement, celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. IWD serves as a call to accelerate the progress of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls around the world.

Join WIN and Tonkin + Taylor in celebrating International Women’s Day with an uplifting panel discussion and some inspiring Wāhine leading the way in Aotearoa.

Collective activation is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity. We will explore how we can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias and seek out inclusion.

Panel members will discuss a case study or project where they created an opportunity to advance diversity in their organisation through actions and policy.

Opening remarks from Margaret Devlin, Infrastructure New Zealand with panellists:

  • Precious Clark, Chief Executive, Maurea Consulting Ltd
  • Dr Sue Watson, Director, Leaderful
  • Simonne Eldridge, Executive Leader - Clients + Brands, Tonkin + Taylor Group
  • Mary Haddock-Staniland, SVP of Global DEIB & People APAC EMEA at EverCommerce
  • Facilitated by Tze Wee, Geotechnics

Many thanks to Tonkin + Taylor for supporting this event.
