Event Details

Amid a difficult economic environment, Budget 2023 will focus on cost of living pressures, returning the Government books to surplus in 2024/25 and investment in infrastructure to drive growth, productivity, and reduce emissions.

Following our successful 2022 event, we invite you to once again join us at our post-Budget analysis breakfast on 19 May as we discuss what the announced allocations mean for the infrastructure sector.

We are also pleased to announce that members will have an opportunity to meet Infrastructure New Zealand’s new Chief Executive, Nick Leggett at this event.

Our panel will include Laura Harris, Partner at Mafic, Brad Olsen, Chief Executive and Principal Economist at Infometrics and David Norman, Chief Economist Australia and New Zealand at GHD. They will dissect the Government’s commitments and give their take on Budget 2023. This session will be facilitated by Michael Loan, Head of Infrastructure at Russell McVeagh.

The Breakfast event will run from 8 to 9 a.m., with an opportunity for networking afterwards at Russell McVeagh's Wellington office. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
