Event Details

The Women's Infrastructure Network and Downer are excited to bring you WIN Auckland: City Rail Link Tunnel and Station Tour.

The City Rail Link (CRL) is New Zealand’s largest transport infrastructure project. When complete, it will form a 3.45km twin-tunnel underground rail link up to 42 metres below Auckland’s city centre to transform the downtown Waitematā Station (Britomart) into a two-way through-station, at least doubling the capacity of the city’s rail network.

Join Downer, one of seven participants in the Link Alliance along with City Rail Link Limited, Vinci Grands Projets, Soletanche Bachy, AECOM, Tonkin + Taylor, and WSP, and the Women’s Infrastructure Network for an onsite tour of Maungawhau Station. The tour includes a much-coveted opportunity to enter CRL’s twin tunnels which are currently in the fit-out stage. It’s your chance to go behind the scenes of what will be a game-changing project for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland.

Spaces are strictly limited to 20 and will fill up fast. Don’t hesitate to register today.

Please note: Full PPE including long sleeves, a hard hat with a chin strap, safety glasses and gloves, and steel cap boots must be worn by all attendees. Long pants with reflectors are mandatory for access to the CRL tunnels and will be provided by Link Alliance. To receive a pair of pants, you must provide your pant sizing upon registering. All site tour participants must have a reasonable level of fitness to safely navigate the site on foot and unfortunately there is no accessible option for this tour.
