Infrastructure New Zealand is pleased to invite you to join us for Resilience in the Regions on Thursday 23 April from 5:00pm at the Trafalgar Centre in Nelson. Thank you to Stantec for sponsoring this event.
This forum will bring together local government leaders, central government and industry to unpack local lessons from recent natural hazard events across Nelson, Tasman and Marlborough. With extensive response phases largely over, the region continues to grapple with complex, long-term recovery decisions that will shape communities for decades.
Through an informal panel-led discussion, speakers will share what happened on the ground – the decisions made, trade-offs faced, and insights emerging from prolonged disruption across multiple infrastructure sectors. The conversation will explore cross sector impacts, infrastructure interdependencies, and how recovery choices affect our communities and economy across the Top of the South.
This will be a candid, practical discussion for those within the infrastructure sector involved in planning, funding or delivering resilient infrastructure in an era of increasing climate and hazard risk.
