This event will be a discussion of Wellington’s
Infrastructure and its future. Drawing on the perspectives of the panellists,
the discussion will cover the purpose and direction of our local infrastructure
pipeline, the challenges we will face, and the solutions available to us.
Presenter Details
Liz Innes is a Principal Advisor at Te Waihanga (the Infrastructure Commission). Liz has extensive experience investment policy and planning from across government, and plays a major role in developing and translating Te Waihanga’s work into meaningful advice for ministers.
Anita Holmes is a Sustainability and Resilience Consultant with Tonkin and Taylor. Anita’s work sees her advise public and private sector organisations on how to embed sustainability and resilience into their planning, policies and projects.
Councillor Tamatha Paul has been on Wellington’s City Council since 2019. Having been vocal on issues such as Waste Management, Transport, and Climate Change, Tamatha represents a new generation of leaders in our city.
Tobie is an accredited business case practitioner, project management professional (PMP) and a passionate traffic engineer / transport planner with 21 years’ experience. He has been based in New Zealand since 2018. He is currently a project manager in the City Streets team at Let’s Get Wellington Moving. He worked in the United Kingdom for 4 years doing traffic and transportation planning and design, in both the public and private sectors in the Greater London area, working mainly on Transport for London (TfL) funded public transport and active mode projects. These projects for example included public transport route studies, bus priority projects and London Cycle Network projects. His experience whilst based in South Africa included an array of traffic engineering, transport planning and project management projects throughout Africa.
