Brendan Herder - Director, Investments & Reviews, Infrastructure Delivery at the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission | Te Waihanga
Brendan is a trusted advisor to government investment decision makers and delivery agencies, and leads the Infrastructure Commission’s advice on Public Private Partnerships and complex commercial negotiations. His professional background is in commercial advisory, including tax and corporate restructuring, and he has spent much of the past ten years involved in the New Zealand Government’s PPP programme. While at the Treasury he advised on a range of infrastructure related transactions, from significant project planning and initiation to the wind down of distressed state assets. He was a foundation member of the pre-establishment Infrastructure Transactions Unit of the New Zealand Infrastructure Commission - Te Waihanga, and after a brief sojourn back in private consulting found his way back to the Infrastructure Commission where he has recently led the development of the Government’s enhancements to the New Zealand PPP Framework for future transactions.
