Infrastructure New Zealand is pleased to present 'A year on for the North Island weather events: Towards a coordinated response and recovery - Hawke's Bay' event, sponsored by Stantec

One year on from the North Island weather events, we have the opportunity to pause, reflect and draw on early lessons from the recovery programme to progress streamlined recovery and resilience planning.

We are hosting two events – in Auckland and Hawke’s Bay with experts who have worked closely on the rebuild following Cyclone Gabrielle and Auckland’s recovery journey after last year’s anniversary weekend floods.

The discussions will centre on early lessons from the response, and the path ahead to ensure that learnings from past recoveries are brought forward as we continue to experience the impacts of climate change induced disasters in the years to come. Community-led retreat and adaptation funding will be front of mind as we look to move away from the current ad-hoc system.

Join us to discuss this important topic, and to hear directly from experts on the ground about their insights about the way forward.
