TIC Canterbury: Connecting Networks and Nature - National Volunteer Week

Christchurch

Event Details

TIC Canterbury is pleased to join forces with Conservation Volunteers NZ during National Volunteer Week on Thursday 19 June, from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. This is a unique opportunity to connect with the TIC network in a casual, hands-on setting while giving back to the community, leading into the Matariki long weekend.

Thank you to RCP for providing the afternoon tea.

The event will be located at Dallington Reserve, an area that forms part of CVNZ’s ongoing efforts to restore the red zone along the Ōtākaro Avon River Corridor. Our time onsite will involve an introduction to CVNZ and their vision, viewing a couple key infrastructure builds surrounding Dallington Reserve, and getting hands-on replanting a section of the reserve. Warm drinks and food will be provided.

Please wear clothing you are comfortable getting dirty in. Gardening equipment will be provided.
