Join TIC Canterbury on Wednesday 8 October from 1:30pm for a guided tour of the Christchurch Hospital's Biomass Energy Centre.
This site visit provides an opportunity to explore Christchurch Hospital’s new Biomass Energy Centre and advanced smart building automation and optimization tools, demonstrating a pathway toward a more sustainable and resilient future.
The first part of the visit is a guided tour of the Energy Centre, highlighting its design, operational insights, key challenges, and the outcomes achieved in energy performance. In the second part, a speaker will give a presentation on how Christchurch Hospital uses modern smart tools to monitor and control building services and energy consumption, continuously improving overall system efficiency and performance.
PPE is not required, but closed-toe shoes are recommended.
