The Auckland Chapter of the Women's Infrastructure Network is delighted to present 'Career Journeys for Women in Infrastructure' on Thursday 16 November.

WIN Auckland is delighted to partner with KPMG to bring together this Career Journey’s discussion panel. Corrina Gibbons-Hurinui from Tactical Group, one of the graduates from our 1st Infrastructure Career Camp, will be on the panel to talk about her experience at Career Camp and career journey to date together with Mair Brookes from KPMG and Sue Watson from Leaderful. Our panelists will share some of their career stories – both the highs and the lows – and some of the tips and lessons they have learned along the way.

Join us to network with like-minded infrastructure professionals over drinks and nibbles, learn more about career development in the infrastructure sector and ask any questions you may have about the next Infrastructure Career Camp beginning in March 2023.

Presenter Details

Corrina Gibbons-Hurinui - Project Delivery Lead NZ, Tactical Group

Corrina is a project delivery lead for Tactical Group NZ leading the provision of project and construction delivery services. Alongside her leadership role, Corrina has a depth of construction and project delivery expertise, developed over 15 years in design and professional project management. Corrina started her career working at the coal face, initially as a Site Engineer for a large roading contractor and then gaining design experience at an engineering consultancy before moving on to professional project management roles. Throughout her career she has worked on a variety of large-scale complex projects in the infrastructure and health sectors.

Mair Brooks - Partner - Infrastructure Advisory – Major Projects and Infrastructure, KPMG

Mair is a Partner at KPMG New Zealand and she leads the Local Government practice.  She has over 25 years of global industry experience and specialises in designing and delivering client transformation programs.  She has been heavily involved in city shaping through her work in transport, education, health, utilities and major sporting events this has covered the UK, New Zealand and Australia.  She has a particular passion in infrastructure innovation that leverages digital to improve our liveability of cities. Mair is an advocate for diversity and inclusiveness and enjoys building teams and supporting leaders to reach their full potential.

Sue Watson - Founder, Leaderful

Sue is an experienced leadership development specialist, committed to ‘putting the ladder down’ to help women move into leadership and governance positions through highly engaging and effective coaching and development programmes. With a varied career journey across a range of business, educational and not-for-profit organisations, Sue combines her personal leadership experience and a reputation for ‘keeping it real’ with a strong foundation of knowledge and expertise in leadership development and best practice learning design.
