Climate action is one of the most pressing and long-term challenges facing New Zealand. The Government has accordingly indicated that investing to meet our climate change goals will feature strongly in Budget 2022.

Join us virtually to hear from Hon Grant Robertson – Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, and Minister for Infrastructure – and Dr Alan Bollard – Chair of New Zealand Infrastructure Commission: Te Waihanga and former Governor of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand – ahead of Budget 2022. 

Both will provide insights into the Government’s thinking and speak to how the Government intends to spend proceeds from the Emissions Trading Scheme. They will also reflect on what the upcoming release of the Emissions Reduction Plan means in terms of funding for climate change initiatives, their wider observations for the infrastructure sector and what the wider, macroeconomic implications for the economy are.
