The impact of the Cambridge WWTP project extends well beyond infrastructure development, encompassing environmental, cultural, social, and long-term sustainability values.
Through authentic partnerships and collaborative decision-making, the project has successfully achieved shared ownership of outcomes and created a legacy of environmental care and cultural respect.
The site visit will include a presentation by key team members, followed by a tour of the WWTP facilities, including the outfall structure to Waikato Awa, cultural carvings, and landscape and ecological initiatives.
The WWTP is due to open 2026, so come along and get a look around before it opens and catch up with colleagues while touring the site.
Afternoon tea will be supplied at the conclusion of the tour.
PPE Requirements: Please wear site boots, hi viz and bring a hard hat with you. If any H&S needs to be borrowed, please let us know a week prior so it can be arranged. (Note: strict requirement for hard hats)
