WIN Wellington is excited to invite you to visit the SH2 Melling Transport Improvements project on Thursday 23rd April (12pm -1pm).
This is a Road of Regional Significance project that will provide a safer, more resilient and accessible transport system in Lower Hutt.
It includes:
- a new grade-separated SH2 interchange at Melling
- a new bridge over Te Awa Kairangi/Hutt River, connecting the interchange to Lower Hutt CBD
- relocation of the Melling train station and park and ride facilities
- new and improved walking and cycling paths.
There is a vast number of women working on this project across a variety of disciplines, and they are looking forward to sharing their experiences with you. The project is being delivered on behalf of NZTA by the Delivery Alliance of AECOM and Fletcher Construction, and we thank them for sponsoring this event.
Please note this is a live construction site and the following PPE is required:
- Steel Toe Cap Safety Boots
- Hard Hat
- Safety Glasses
- Hi-Viz Vest - long sleeve shirt and long pants
- Protective Gloves
