WIN Wellington: Eastern Porirua Development and State Highway 58 Site Visit 20 October 2022 WIN Wellington are delighted to invite you to a presentation and site visit about the Eastern Porirua Development. The Porirua Development was announced in November 2018 to replace 2,000 existing state homes with new homes over a 20-year period, alongside bulk infrastructure improvements. The project objectives are to rejuvenate and increase state housing stock to deliver safe homes, provide additional housing stock to alleviate the housing crisis and uplift the wellbeing of the Porirua community. The Cost of Delay in Infrastructure Decisions 19 October 2022 The costs associated with delayed decision-making for large infrastructure projects in New Zealand has significant implications for future generations. In an industry first, Infrastructure New Zealand has partnered with Principal Economics to quantify the economic cost of delays in infrastructure decisions. Using their subregional computational general equilibrium model, Principal Economics estimated a total of $334 million in forgone benefits to New Zealand businesses and communities from each year of delay in the completion of the Waikato Expressway.
